I am a single mom to the most wonderful boy! I enjoy spending time with him - no matter what we are doing! I also love crafting whether it be scrapbooking, altered art, or anything crafty with my son.

Rules to Live by During the Holiday Season
Rules to Live by During the Holiday Season
Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet
table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see
carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.

Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. It's rare. You
cannot find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares
that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to
turn into an eggnog-alcoholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it.
Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!
If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of
gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of
your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.
As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or
whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports
car with an automatic transmission.
Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control
your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat
other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?
Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New
Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do.
This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the
buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of
eggnog.
If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like
frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position
yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before
becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of
shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.
Same for pies. Apple, Pumpkin, Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or,
if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always
have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert?
Labor Day?
Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the
mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have
some standards.
One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party
or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Re-read
tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.
Remember this motto to live by:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
sideways, chocolate in one hand, glass of red wine in the other, body
thoroughly used up and totally worn out while screaming

Well, another day... same s***!
I don't have any pics to post today... That's alright.
I am going to start those Twilight books everyone is talking about. Going to the library this weekend to see if they have any before I buy one! I love to read... it's an awesome escape from reality!
My ex flipped his truck this morning on the ice. I feel so bad for him. He's fine - just sore. It made me almost cry. I know we're over but I do still have feelings for him.
On the bright side - a life long friend from out town will be in town the weekend after Christmas and I am PUMPED!!! He is such a cutie! We're all gonna either go out and play some pool and what not or stay at a friends and play cards and whatever! I can't wait. I guess I'm gonna take him home the next day - he lives 2 1/2 hours away. But my BFF lives just about 30 min from him so I get to see her too! I don't know which I am more excited about - a BOY or my bestie!!!
Anyhoo... I hope to have some more pics later. I'm gonna start another layout!
I hope everyone is doing well and is getting along with everything Christmas with as little stress as possible!
Love ya all!!!!!

Finally - A Layout!
Well, here it is.....Finally the pumpkin patch pictures!!! And the first page I've done in probably **6 months**! Once I finally sat down to do it, it took an hour and 35 minutes, I completely changed the whole thing at least 4 times before I finally "stuck" with something.
The journaling spot is by Jenn - thanks girl! And the pumpkins and circles from Crafty Amber on etsy Thanks!

Stars for Christmas
Today we (well, mainly Logan) painted some wooden stars for Christmas. I wanted to do some cream colored ones also but he decided he was done when he finished the red and green. All I did was paint the edges. He did great!
I don't know yet what I am going to do with them, magnets maybe. Maybe ornaments for the tree... oh who knows.
Life as usual - - just some nasty winter weather. If it would just snow so we could build a snowman!!!

Here is something I've been working on... I listed it in my shop today. It's a scrapbook for "all about you"
Well, it's just been another day. I got my cell phone back from ex, and I can't be more excited.
Us getting along is still hit and miss... but you know how that goes. It has been a little over a month since he left. Come to find out, his brother-in-law and sister separated about a week before we did. How weird!?
On the brighter side of things, we've got our tree up. Logan decorated most of the bottom half!!!
I also wrapped some presents today. Most of the rest are from Santa and probably won't get wrapped. Here are some pics from the Parade on a FREEZING Saturday at 6pm.

No Gold Coin Candy!!!
I am finishing the treat bags for my sons Halloween party tomorrow - he is preschool. I have gotten several emails and texts that the gold coin candy have been causing sickness and deaths in children. So, since every bag had a few gold coins in them, I am definately taking those out! So pass this on.
Have a terrific Wednesday!!!
